Discussion on Ideal Residence for the Differently Abled Children

This event focuses specifically on the future living arrangements for differently abled children. There is one lingering, unanswered question: where will they go and where will they live after their parents pass away?We are once again gathering to discuss this important topic. The event will take place on September 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Rabindra Tirtha, New Town.A panel discussion will be a key feature of the event. We have invited experts and individuals experienced in the care of children with special needs in West Bengal to participate. The discussion will cover topics such as the ideal living environment for these children, the nature of the home setting, available residential facilities in West Bengal, eligibility criteria, costs, and the associated pros and cons.We will also present details about "Thikana Shimla"—a residential facility currently being developed near Kalyani along the banks of the Ganges—where parents and their children can live together for a lifetime. A brief presentation on this project will be included.Additionally, we have a special initiative planned: honouring select special educators on the occasion of Teachers' Day.There will be a lunch for all ticket holders.Participation is open to parents or guardians of differently abled children of any age. The ticket price is ₹150 per person (approximately ₹165 including taxes, platform fees, etc.). A total of 120 tickets is available.You are welcome to bring your child along. We will take full responsibility for their supervision and meals; our trained staff will look after them. Please note that children with special needs will not be permitted inside the main auditorium. The ticket price for them is ₹1 (approximately ₹15 including taxes, platform fees, etc.), with a maximum of 20 tickets available.Ticket sell will end on 4th September 2026 at 10 am or ticket exhauseted, whichever is earlier. There will be NO SPOT BOOKING option.
