Pluto Python Programming Workshop

Pluto Python Programming WorkshopOne-Day Hands-On Drone Coding Workshop | 5 HoursWhat if you could write Python code and actually see a drone respond to it?In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how Python programming can be used to control a real drone and build interactive drone applications.Starting with the basics, you’ll connect your laptop to the Pluto drone, write your first Python programs, read data from the drone’s sensors, and control its movement through code. As you progress, you’ll work with the drone’s camera using OpenCV and explore how computer vision can make the drone smarter.By the end of the workshop, you won’t just have written code — you’ll have used your code to control a real flying drone. What You’ll ExploreUnderstand the DroneLearn the basic components of a droneUnderstand roll, pitch, yaw and throttleExplore how sensors help a drone understand its movementStart ProgrammingSet up Python on your laptopCreate a virtual environment and install the required librariesConnect your Python program to the droneRead sensor data directly through codeControl the FlightProgram take-off and landingControl the drone using PythonFly the drone using keyboard commandsUnderstand how programming translates into real movementExplore Computer VisionStream live video from the drone to your laptopWork with the camera using OpenCVDetect faces using computer visionAutomatically capture pictures based on what the camera seesThe ExperienceConnect → Code → Test → Fly → BuildThe workshop is designed around hands-on experimentation, so you’ll spend less time just listening and more time writing, testing and improving your own programs.Who Can Attend?Age: 12 years and aboveBasic understanding of coding recommendedNo previous drone experience requiredBeginners in drone programming are welcomeWhat You Need to BringYour own laptopWindows or Mac laptopBasic coding familiarityFrequently Asked Questions1.
