The Gods The Gods The Gods by Wright&Grainger

‘A perfect piece of gig theatre’ - **** British Theatre GuideWINNER Best Theatre, Adelaide Fringe 2020 & 2023Performed live as a 12-track album, The Gods The Gods The Gods is an exhilarating weave of big beats, heavy basslines, soaring melodies and heart-stopping spoken word. The 65-minute show weaves together 4 stories: Two kids meet out dancing, they’re set to fall hard; A woman is on a beach, alone at night, looking at the stars; A bloke is on a bridge, thinking about jumping, just before dark; And the old gods are gathering for a reckoning to start. It’s a show about what we continually look for outside of ourselves, and what we might find in those people who surround us.The Gods The Gods The Gods is the third show in the internationally acclaimed series of Myths from the two 'masters of storytelling' (Fourth Wall) Wright&Grainger. Following their multi-award winning tellings of Orpheus and Eurydice, Wright&Grainger call us to the crossroads where mythology meets real life.‘Euphoric, incredibly powerful’ - **** The Stage‘An incredible kind of energy’ - ***** Stage Whispers‘This is how you do immersive theatre’ - **** ThreeWeeks‘The Gods The Gods The Gods is not only a truly unique performance, but also a unique experience.’ - **** FringeFeed‘A tour-de-force’ - **** SeeSaw‘Every now and then comes an act which is extraordinary’ - ***** Adelaide Advertiser ‘This is an album drop party that summons the gods, unseats the gods, and establishes us as deities.’ - PlayBillCreated by Wright&GraingerWords by Alexander WrightMusic by Phil GraingerMusic Production by Tom FigginsDramaturgy & Creative Development by Megan Drury
